The Scourge is upon us once again. No place is safe. The Lich King's reach is far this time. I'm answering the Dawn's call.

I'm more seasoned now than I was during the Legion's last invasion. There's still always that chance...

Elune watch over me.

To: Force Commander Danath Trollbane
Subject: Report on investigations regarding the Blood Furnace in Hellfire Citadel.
By: Sgt. Major Jaerda Flamesong

As instructed, I gathered a group of my allies, and investigated the area called the blood furnace.

I think the name should be changed. I didn't see a furnace.

Also, the only thing of note was, Orcs. Orcs, More Orcs. A floating head with eyes. Oh, and this bastard who kept yelling every two minutes. It was very hard to concentrate.

Oh yeah, the bastard was apparently a pit lord. Just thought I should mention that.

Doesn't excuse him from screaming constantly.

Did I mention the orcs?

Or how about the pit thing that kept screaming?

And the orcs?

Nothing else to report...

Sgt. Major Flamesong (who is still not happy with the pit thing that kept screaming constantly... though he did mention something about blood... still. Screaming).

Slit Nessingwary's throat.

Stupid dwarf.

.. so this isn't a big thing in regards to the more experienced thing...

But a small group of DPS (two priests, a mage, a warrior, and a warrior) went into Scholo with the soul purpose of taking down Jandice Barov.

We wiped the first attempt

Realizing we got to her quick enough that hopefully respawns hadn't happened, we attempted again. we skirted the respawned patrols...and engaged her again.

Hunters' Mark was invaluable here,, as it was able to help people keep Jandice targeted. Of course her clones were able to still cause problems, and we had patrol add.

Mage went down, Priests went down, and finally, the warrior went down. All that was left was one lone hunter--Jaerda. IE: Me.

Sid managed to toss a dot on her before he died, apparently hoping that something would come of it. And thus, began the showdown between one of the most annoying bosses of the small-man dungeons,a nd a lone hunter and her pet.

The Boss died first. The hunter died to her clones.

Yes, you saw that correctly. I FUCKING DOWNED JANDICE. WITH MELEE. I BEAT HER DOWN BEING THE LAST MAN STANDING.

*FLEX*

Yes, I died afterwards but the high of being Last man standing + the one to kill Jandice overshone the death :D

Haha, Jae, for being undergeared, kicks ass I guess >D

Okay, I'm not one to sit there and toss around 'Know how to play your class' etc. Most that know know that I'ma mostly solo player and am new to this whole 'Group' thing.

Especially when it's more than 5 people.

However, there is such a thing as 'Knowing what the fuck you're capable of and providing assistance when it's obvious the main role is taxed'.

Was part of a PUG UBRS run last night. Being a hunter, my job was to merely pull and provide assistance to the MT (and throw the pet on any Caster-Agg). In this group, there was four-healer types. My husband, who plays a priest, another priest, a druid and a Paladin. Almost immediately, Jon took up the reigns of Main-Healer. He does his job good. The Paladin ended up off-tanking more often than not, so he was excused on any healing duties (save he should really attempt to keep himself alive). So, there's this other Priest, and this druid.

While Jon is a Holy-spec'd priest and has gear to give him +healing and +int for teh_uber casting, he still can not completely save an entire 10 man raid when the going gets rough (such as, y'know, General Whatever his name is....). The most healing I saw the druid do was to cast Renew on people who didn't need it (People who weren't getting hit, etc), and the other priest was wasting mana on attack spells instead of healing.

While I guess this is okay when we're just picking off groups of mobs, in a boss fight, I should think the focus should be keeping people alive. The last wipe we had (during the general), the general was getting Kited, the Paladin was to tank one of the guards while the MT was to take the other. Jon was told to heal MT, while the other priest was told to heal the Pally. It was forewarned that there was gear breakage all over the place, so we weren't optmistic about this fight. the MT died far more than the Pally so his gear was probably /more/ busted than Pally's.

Guess who died first? Yeah, that's right, the Paladin.

Who got yelled at for it?

Jon. When he was specifically told to concentrate on one person and keep them up. And the other was told to concentrate on the other and keep them up.

Who was doing the yelling? THe other priest and the druid.

Strange, the person Jon was healing kept the MT up long enough that he was one of the last ones to go down.

It was just really a mess. Grant it, it was our first time in UBRS, but to yell at someone for not doing their job when you weren't doing your own.... UGH> >(

Pugs suck.

Tonight was a first for me.

I not only pulled a group together, I even chose the location (I'm Ms. Indecisive). I also attempted to lead said group.

Key word being Attempted.

We tried Strat (live), but none of us knew what to expect, so it was pretty much a wing it. We got to the Tobacco dude, wiped because someone was Haunted (Lesson: Do not kill the Citizens, learned the hard way), and decided, "Y'know what.... let's not for now." It was the second wipe in the span of 5 minutes.

So I think I'm going to read up on what to expect tomorrow. But I won't partkae in antoher one unless I have either our priest (58 now, yay!) or Keegan with us. Definitely needs a healer.

So, feeling disgruntled I was bumbing around when I saw a call for Blightcaller go out over the LFG. Needing a sense of accomplishment--I said sure. I also wasn't expecting it to pull together.

Blightcaller went down in about 2 minutes.

Then we turned around and did the Battle of Darrowshire.

So, my emo moment about leading a bad run was overshadowed by the sense of VICTORY!

Now I just need to decide if I really want to use the damn bow. I seem to do more damage with the other one... Hm. :/
